Metro Train project a milestone in Pakistan’s history: CM Shahbaz

SHANGHAI: After successfully launching the project of Metro Bus in Punjab, Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Shairf signed an agreement with China for Metro Train project in Shanghai, Geo News reported on Thursday.

CM Punjab Shahbaz Sharif and the chairman of Chinese company NDRC signed the agreement during a ceremony held in Shanghai on Wednesday.

The new project has been named “Orange Line Metro Train” that will be completed with the investment of 1.6 billion dollars. The train track will be 27.1 km long.

The signing ceremony was attended by the presidents of both the countries.

Speaking on the occasion, CM Shahbaz said that Metro Train will be a unique project and a milestone in Pakistan’s history. The Chinese government will undertake the task of investment and designing the project.

He further said that the Metro Train project will bring more facilities to the commuters.
