KARACHI: Investigations from the arrested suspects of the Safoora massacre case revealed on Sunday that planning for the attack took place at a restaurant here in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
The accused were put through polygraph tests as part of the ongoing investigation into the carnage in which dozens of people including women were gunned down by heavily armed terrorists.
According to fresh disclosures, a group comprising 15 terrorists executed the gruesome killings of innocent people. Eight members of this group were said to be shooters while the rest of the members had carried out reconnaissance and provided other help.
None of these terrorists knew each others names or residential addresses and not a single one of them used cell phones.
It has come out from the investigation that the heinous plan for carrying out the killings on the bus of the Ismaili community had been finalised at a restaurant in Gulshan-e-Iqbal.
According to the original plan, the terrorists had to carry out the attack one day earlier, but they had to postpone it for the following day after they failed to reach the spot fixed for executing the plan on time and the bus they were to target had moved past that point.
The following day eight terrorists took part in the execution of the plan. Four of them aimed and fired their guns inside the bus.
The prime motive of the terrorists was to draw international attention.
