 Space shuttle Discovery lifts off

 CAPE CANAVERAL: The US space shuttle Discovery lifted off Sunday on a mission to install solar panels at the International Space Station.

The shuttle, carrying seven crew including six Americans and one Japanese, lifted off from Kennedy Space Center at 7:43 pm (2343 GMT).
