Shahbaz urges Aisam for flood charity matches LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif urged national tennis star Aisamul Haq to play charity matches for the flood-affected people and the government would provide all facilities in this regard, Geo News reported Thursday.

Aisam, who sealed a historic record of playing two finals in grand slam US Open, called on Punjab Chief Minister at his residence in Model Town and the latter congratulated the national tennis hero on his impeccable performance in US Open.

Shahbaz remarked Aisam is national hero and the entire nation is proud of him, adding he put up an excellent show of game and made the country to take pride in him.

The government of Punjab will take up all measures to boost tennis across the province and the ace player Aisam would be consulted in this connection, the CM stressed.

Aisam said the prayers of the entire nation backed him up and he thanked Allah on this win, vowing to keep on playing with the same zest for the sake of country and nation.
