No show-cause notice issued from PTI: Hashmi

MULTAN: Veteran politician, Javed Hashmi said on Saturday that he had not received a show-cause notice from the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and remained the party’s president.

Hashmi during a news conference held at his residence told reporters that he had informed PTI Chairman Imran Khan that only his (Hashmi’s) resignation would be accepted and this is what happened. Hashmi added that Khan had not even gone to hand in his resignation and another ‘saheb’ gave a speech in Parliament but did not mention the resignations.

Javed Hashmi praised the media for its part in saving democracy and also said the armed forces had played a positive role.

According to Hashmi there should be a Hyde Park set up in Karachi, Multan and Islamabad where people can freely express their opinions.
