JI wants to make Pakistan 'Islamic welfare state' like Madina: Sirajul Haq

LAHORE: Ameer Jamaat-e-Islami (JI) Pakistan Sirajul Haq has said JI wants to make Pakistan an Islamic welfare state where there is no difference between the rich and poor, Geo News reported.

Addressing the concluding session of JI’s Ijtama-e-Aam at Minar-e-Pakistan Lahore ground here Sunday, Sirajul Haq said the oppressor class and Pakistan cannot move together. He said feudal class has made the farmers their slaves.

JI Ameer said: “The system based on cruelty and hypocrisy was the reason of partition of Bangladesh. No one Pakistani wants separation from Pakistan but from cruel system of Islamabad.”

“This country faces more threat from oppressor class than any other enemy,” he said and added “We have to get rid of his class.” Sirajul Haq said his party believes on system of justice.

He said the only issue in Pakistan is that of leadership, adding that there is no true leadership. He said this country needs rulers who could safeguards the rights of the countrymen.

He said: “Hypocrisy cannot last for long in Pakistan. We have to adopt a single system either Islamic or any other.” He added that JI wants to make Pakistan an Islamic state like that of state of Madina.

He said that subsidy would be provided on five edibles -- rice, sugar, tea, wheat and pulses – in the Islamic state government.

Haq vowed to make independent foreign policy if comes into power, adding that his government would bring Pakistan’s lost glory back.

JI Chief said he would announce future line of action on December 25 at the mausoleum of Qauid-e-Azam in Karachi.
