April 23 will be doomsday for hooliganism in Karachi: Siraj
KARACHI: Amir Jamaat-e-Islami (JI), Sirajul Haq Sunday said that Karachiites have had enough and April 23 will prove to be doomsday for hooliganism of sector in-charges.

“The people of Karachi now want to breathe in an atmosphere of freedom,” Sirajul Haq said while addressing a public rally here at Aisha Manzil area, located in NA-246 Constituency which has become a political battleground for three parties- JI, Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).

He said the time has come for the people to decide whether they want the rule of law in Karachi or that of sector incharges of a party.

He advised MQM chief Altaf Hussain that if he wants a respectable exit then he better withdraw their candidate for the upcoming by election in NA-246.

The JI Chief said MQM’s former leader Nabil Gabol has also admitted to rigging in NA-246.

He said the prosperity of Pakistan is directly linked to that of the provincial capital of Sindh.

“Karachi used to be known as the city of Ahmed Noorani but now it is referred to as the city of Ajmal Pahari,” Sirajul Haq regretted.

He said the people of Karachi entrusted ‘Altaf Hussain and his gang’ with their overwhelming support and in return MQM gave them the gift of extortion and kidnapping for ransom.
