Dr Debra Lobo’s attackers identified

KARACHI: The gang involved in Thursday’s attack on Dr Debra Lobo, Vice Principle of the Jinnah Medical and Dental College, has been identified.

According to sources, the culprits involved were the same that attacked policemen from Preedy Police Station in March.

The forensic report on Friday revealed that the same weapons were used in both attacks.

In the attack on March 10, two policemen had been killed, while fortunately yesterday’s attack left Dr Lobo injured and after treatment she was declared out of danger.

Gunmen had attacked Dr Lobo on Shaheed-e-Millat Road, leaving her critically injured. She was shot in her face while driving her car.

Her nationality was confirmed as American and she had been working for the local college for the last 15 years.
