Shahbaz vows to continue protest until loadshedding solution
LAHORE: Chief Minister Punjab Shahbaz Sharif on Tuesday said that he and his cabinet members will continue to discharge their responsibilities at camp offices until the government will propose a solution to the current loadshedding problem, Geo News reported.

He was addressing the media at a camp office in Bahawalpur and said the worst loadshedding in the country’s history has made the lives of people miserable while it damaged the economy, adding that the Punjab had faced a setback of about Rs400 billion in one year due to power loadshedding while hundreds of thousands of workers had become jobless.

Shabaz termed such actions as brainchild of President Zardari and vowed to continue protest against his conspiracies.

He also dispelled the impression that under the 18th Amendment, the provinces had been given right to generate electricity.

The CM Punjab said that President Zardari’s reference for two separate provinces of Bahawalpur and Multan was a sham.

Members of All Pakistan Clerks Association (APCA) and paramedical staff also demanded the approval of their demands outside the camp office at the occasion of CM’s arrival.
