‘Dilwale’ fails to compete with 'Prem Ratan Dhan Payo'
MUMBAI: Bollywood super star Shah Rukh Khan’s new film ‘Dilwale’ became one of the five top Indian movies in terms of its opening day volume of business.

However, the movie could not beat ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ which is still the biggest grossing movie of 2015.

Shah Rukh Khan and Kajol did beat Ranveer Sindh and Deepika Padukone in terms of being most outstanding pair while ‘Dilawale’ also did receive a much better response at the box office than the latter’s ‘Bajirao Mastani’.

Salman Khan’s ‘Prem Ratan Dhan Payo’ is still invincible as 2015’s top film as regard of opening day earnings which amounted to INR 403 million.

On the second slot, it is also Salman Khan’s film ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ which grossed INR 272 million the day it was released.

‘Dilawale’ stands at number three with INR 210 million; Akshay Kumar’s ‘Sindh Is
Bling’ ranks fourth with INR 206 million while ‘Brothers’ stays at fifth position with INR 152 million.
