UK confirms MQM Rabitta Committee members were questioned at Heathrow Airport

LONDON: The British Home Office on Thursday confirmed that Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Rabitta Committee members Shabbir Qaimkhani and Kaiful Wara were “questioned” at the Heathrow Airport on Wednesday morning.

A home office spokesman confirmed to Geo News officially that both MQM members were questioned after they were returned from a US airport.

Home Office makes it clear that at no point were the two men arrested by the UK authorities. The spokesman confirmed that both were denied entry into the USA.

Geo News had exclusively revealed that the two leaders were questioned at Heathrow Airport after being deported by the US authorities.

MQM sources had said that the two were released in the USA but a source in the US embassy has confirmed that the two individuals were denied entry into the USA over "suspicions about their links" but did not explain what these links are.
