LAHORE: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif on Friday in an apparent jibe at the opposition leaders said that the public has rejected those talking about anti-government campaigns.
The prime minister performed groundbreaking of the Eastern Bypass in Kala Shah Kaku, after which he addressed the gathering and said that the government is targeting every sector.
The prime minister said that the entire world appreciates Pakistan's progress.
He said that electricity producing powerhouses are being built in the entire country.
The prime minister said that loadshedding will decrease next year and completely end in 2018.
The prime minister without naming Shaikh Rasheed said that a politician from Rawalpindi every now and then predicts government's downfall.
“Prepare for the election, you will not even become an assembly member next time,” said Nawaz.
The PM said that only a year and a half is left before elections, adding that the next five years will also come to Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N).
“Yesterday I was in Gwadar, today I am here, this is the country’s development agenda,” said Nawaz.
The prime minister had on Thursday inaugurated a string of development projects in Balochistan including a dam, Gwadar Free Zone Business Complex and a University — all aimed at mainstreaming the country’s remotest areas.
On the occasion, he had said the Gwadar Port was an integral part of China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) and the city was on its way to becoming an international hub.
