KARACHI: Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) Pakistan chief Farooq Sattar shortly after being discharged from the hospital talked to media here on Wednesday and described details of his accident.
In his speech, he said that his accident should only be viewed as a mishap, adding that ‘people should not try to find a conspiracy behind it.”
He said that following his accident Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif also telephoned him to inquire about his health.
He said that his car flipped over multiple times and he still is alive, adding that is the biggest ‘Eidi’ he could receive.
Sattar said former president Pervez Musharraf also telephoned him from Dubai and asked about his well being.
He said that he was grateful to those who kept on praying for him.
MQM Pakistan leader Dr Farooq Sattar was discharged from the hospital today (Wednesday).
According to the spokesman of the hospital, Dr Sattar’s health has improved and he has been advised complete rest for the next few days.
Sattar was injured Sunday night after his car crashed near the Nooriabad Police Station at the Super Highway on Sunday when he was returning to Karachi from Hyderabad.
"Sattar was on his way to Karachi from Hyderabad when his car overturned after colliding with barriers placed on the road," Khawaja Izhar ul Hassan, who was with him in a separate car at the time of the accident, had said earlier.
Sattar received injuries to his head, back and shoulders and was taken to a private hospital.
