Pakistan Army wins gold in international military exercise

Pakistan Army secured gold in 'Exercise Cambrian Patrol' which is annual international military patrolling exercise in the UK.

Pakistan Army placed first among approximately 120 competing army teams from all over the world.

Last year, Pakistan shared the gold medal with the New Zealand Army. Pakistan Army had also won the gold medal in 2010.

Felicitating the team, H.E. Syed Ibne Abbas, Pakistan High Commissioner to the UK, said: “My heartiest felicitation to the Pakistan Army team on winning the Gold Medal. This is a testimony to the highest standards of Pakistan Army’s professionalism and training. 

Pakistan team wins gold at Exercise Cambrian Patrol

The exercise is held in Wales and aims to provide challenging patrols exercise in order to enhance operational capability. The military exercise is regarded as one of the toughest tests for a soldier. Some entrants have to win a domestic competition before they can take part in the exercise. 

Some of the international patrols that participated in the exercise included Latvia, Mexico, Nepal, Canada, Italy, Georgia, Germany, Pakistan, Australia, Czech Republic, New Zealand, India, Ireland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Belgium, Chile, Kosovo, Brazil, and Switzerland.
