DUBAI: Lahore Qalandars skipper Brendon McCullum said on Saturday that he is satisfied with the performance of his teammates in the Pakistan Super League.

Speaking in a post-match presser after Qalandars' last-ball defeat to Karachi Kings, McCullum said that Lahore Qalandars played a couple of cracking matches throughout the tournament, however, the team failed to capitalise on moments at a couple of key moments.

"Kieron Pollard is an incredible player and what he delivered was something very special. But overall I was very happy with the effort of the guys."

“I am really proud of each and every individual, when we chose the team this year in the draft we picked good guys and good individuals who play for a common cause,” McCullum said. “But unfortunately we didn’t get the desired results.”

On the game-changing last over of Aamer Yamin, the former Black Caps captain said that the young bowler executed the team plan pretty well.

“It’s just that Pollard managed to play some incredible shots in the end for the most part of the over, he (Aamer Yamin) was really good.”

The West Indian batsman smashed two sixes off last two deliveries of the final over to take his team to a 5-wicket win against Lahore Qalandars and keep Karachi Kings alive in the second edition of PSL on Saturday.

Kings needed 14 off the final over and 10 off last two balls but Pollard smashed Aamer Yamin for a six to long-off on the penultimate delivery and then on deep mid-wicket for another sixer to complete the victory for Kings.

Pollard smashed four sixes and one four to score 45 off just 20 deliveries, Imad Wasim remained not out after scoring 19 off 14.
