Muslims should join hands to combat terrorism: PM

MADINA: Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif said that Muslim across the world should join hands to combat terrorism.

He was speaking to media in Madina Munawwara on Monday.

He also remarked that he hasn’t decided if he will be a part of the World Centre Against Extremism, a counter-radicalisation initiative by the Saudi government

Speaking about the summit, he said that the Arab Islamic American Summit will go a long way in eradicating terrorism. He added, it was a good step to jointly combat terrorism.

He urged Afghanistan to take effective steps to counter terrorism.

On his interaction with US President Donald Trump, he remarked that it was quiet positive.





Pakistan has rendered great sacrifices in the war against terrorism and it has suffered a loss of over one hundred and twenty billion dollars, besides losing twenty-four thousand lives in this fight.

The PM visited Masjid-i-Nabwi where he offered prayers. He was accompanied by his wife Kalsoom Nawaz, son Hussain Nawaz, foreign affairs adviser Sartaj Aziz among others.

He prayed for peace, progress and prosperity of the country as well as unity among the Muslim world.
