One dead, two injured in separate firing incidents in Karachi

KARACHI: One person died during a firing incident late Saturday night here in the metropolis' Orangi Sector 11.5 area, rescue sources said.
Two others were injured during a separate firing incident at Abul Hasan Isphahani Road, rescue officials stated. The victims were wounded when they resisted a robbery attempt and the dacoit opened fire, it was reported.
Rangers' search operation
A female drug-seller was taken into custody by Rangers during a search operation late Saturday night in the city's Chanesar Goth area, a Rangers spokesperson said.
The suspect – who was identified as Kulsoom (alias Bhabhi) – was also reportedly involved in facilitating criminals.
A large amount of contraband was recovered from the arrested suspect, whose range of operations included schools and colleges, the Rangers official mentioned.
Rangers' Al-Nisa Rapid Action Force also partook in the search operation, the spokesperson added.
