According to reports, the fire broke out in a warehouse and spread to the fifth floor of the plaza damaging goods whose worth cannot immediately be estimated.
The Fire brigade reached the spot soon after the incident and kicked off the relief operation but their efforts were hampered because the area is congested and has narrow access ways. Nearby buildings were also evacuated because it was feared that the fire might spread.
