ISLAMABAD: The ‘Azadi’ Marchers remembered to remain all charged up as, according to a picture viral on social media, the protesters were seen huddled around a giant socket board where they had plugged in their phones to boost battery juice.
The Jamiat Ulema-e-Islam-Fazl’s (JUI-F) Maulana Fazlur Rehman-led protesters are currently staging a sit-in in the federal capital in an attempt to oust Prime Minister Imran Khan.
Fazl had led caravan of demonstrators from Karachi, Sindh, traversed through Punjab’s capital Lahore, and landed in Islamabad Thursday night.
In the picture, dozens of protesters have plugged in their phones to the charging board, which — surprisingly — houses what look like dozens of charging adapters and power banks.
Some ‘Azadi’ Marchers could also be seen sitting by the side of the charging board, using their phones as they measured up the battery juice in their smartphones.
As of the latest reports, the federal government has decided to negotiate with the JUI-F chief, sources informed Geo News on Sunday.
Fazl had given the prime minister a two-day ultimatum to resign.
