Teenage fast bowler Musa Khan was on Saturday denied his maiden Test wicket courtesy a no-ball, just like his fellow precociously talented compatriot Naseem Shah was denied his in the previous match against Australia.

On the first ball of the 95th over of the first innings, David Warner was caught on 226 by Babar Azam standing at gully. However, the umpire penalised Musa for overstepping, ruling Warner not out.

Warner eventually finished with an unbeaten 335 as Pakistani bowlers toiled for the second day running.

The opener's heroics in Adelaide followed his 154 in the first Test at Brisbane last week — his first Test century since a year-long ban for ball-tampering.

The incident follows a similar torrid debut for pacer Naseem Shah in the first Test against Australia, where Shah overstepped and thus could not claim his maiden wicket. Warner was the lucky batsman on that occasion too.
