Six suspects in custody after minor girl's body found in Karachi's Bhains Colony

KARACHI: Six individuals were taken into custody on Tuesday after a minor girl's body was recovered from a cattle farm here in the metropolis' Bhains Colony, police confirmed, adding that they were questioning the suspects.

The seven-year-old's body was found inside a water tank in the cattle farm five days ago. According to her family, she had left home five days ago alongside her brother to buy milk but never returned; they added that she was carrying a pot for the milk.

Chemical samples were obtained from the body after a post-mortem was carried out and sent to the forensic testing laboratory. However, police said there was no proof of sexual abuse in the initial medical report.

A missing persons report had been filed at the Sukhan police station.

The pot she was carrying with her was also found inside the farm from where her body was recovered. Police was informed after the pot was found.
