KARACHI: The first day of the Islamic month Ziqad will fall on Friday (September 30) as the moon for the month has not been sighted, Geo News reported.
The meeting of Centreal Ruet-e-Hilal Committee presided over by its Chairman Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman held here at Meteorological Complex on Wednesday.
Members of central and zonal Ruet-e-Hilal committees besides representatives of Met Office, Suparco and Pakistan Navy also attended the meeting.
On the occasion, Mufti Muneeb-ur-Rehman announced that no evidence of Ziqad moon sighting was received from any part of Pakistan. Therefore, he said, decision has been made that the moon was not sighted and the 1st day of Ziqad would fall on Friday (September 30).
