Alia Bhatt’s ‘happy birthday to me’ post features her first look from ‘Brahmastra’

Bollywood diva Alia Bhatt is celebrating her 29th birthday today (March 15). 

On the special occasion, while fans and fellow stars have flooded Alia’s social media with adorable birthday wishes, the Gully Boy actress has also treated fans with special gift.

Taking to her Instagram handle, the Gangubai Kathiawadi star dropped an exclusive - first look video from her upcoming, highly-anticipated film Brahmastra.

Sharing the video, Alia teased fans that the rare footage, which gives fans first look to her character Isha in the film, is a birthday present to herself as well as to her fans.

She posted the video with caption, "Happy birthday to me. Can't think of a better day and better way for you all to meet Isha."

The Highway actress also added shout-out for Brahmastra director Ayaan Mukerji, "Ayaan my wonder boy, I love you. Thank you."

The footage, titled "Happy birthday, Isha," features a montage of Alia’s moments from the movie.

Brahmastra, a mythology-based trilogy, is subtitled as Part One: Shiva. The lead character of Shiva is played by Alia's real life boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan, Nagarjuna and Mouni Roy in important role.

The film is scheduled to release on September 9 in five languages.
