'Walked out, did not bow down': PTI leaders pay tribute to Imran Khan

ISLAMABAD: Following the dismissal of Imran Khan, PTI leaders paid tribute to their party chairman for not “bowing down and walking out gracefully”.

Despite the government’s hectic efforts to avoid voting on the no-confidence motion against Prime Minister Imran Khan, the joint Opposition succeeded in its month-long efforts to oust Imran Khan from the prime minister's office as 174 members of the National Assembly voted against him deciding his fate after a lot of drama in the National Assembly.

Taking to their Twitter handles, PTI leaders paid tribute to their leader for “fighting till the last ball”. Sharing the news of the Imran Khan leaving the Prime Minister House, Senator Faisal Javed wrote: “Just saw off Prime Minister Imran Khan from Prime Minister House. He walked out gracefully and didn't bow down.”

Calling him “Pakistan Khan”, Faisal added: “He has lifted the entire Nation. Feeling proud to be a Pakistani and blessed to have a leader like him. Pakistan Khan — Imran Khan.”

Meanwhile, senior PTI leader and former information minister Fawad Chaudhry wrote: “Sad day for Pakistan….. return of looters a good man sent home.”

"In last more than three years I have seen Imran Khan work tirelessly for the betterment of the country," Asad Umar wrote on Twitter.

"His only objective [was] how do I make Pakistan stronger [and] improve the lives of people of Pakistan. May Allah give you more strength to serve the nation skipper #ProudOfImranKhan."

Shahbaz Gill shared that he was the last person to see off Imran Khan from the Prime Minister's House, adding that he has only one thing which is “loyalty”. Gill maintained that he would never leave Imran Khan, saying “one can never be unfaithful to such a brave man.”

Prime Minister Imran Khan was elected on August 18, 2018, and his term ended on April 10, 2022.
