Karachi: Hand grenade defused in old city area

KARACHI: Unknown perpetrators hurled a hand-grenade at a market place near KMC workshop in the old city area of the metropolis but it failed to go off, Geo News reported late Tuesday night.

The bomb disposal squad was called in which defused the grenade successfully, the police sources told Geo News.

Frustrated grenade-throwers fled the scene after their attack misfired.

Police have cordoned off the area and launched a search operation in the surrounding areas.
