Arsenal have completed the signing of German forward Kai Havertz from Chelsea in a transfer deal worth approximately £65 million.

The 24-year-old has put pen to paper on a "long-term deal" at the Emirates Stadium, returning to London three years after his move to Chelsea from Bayer Leverkusen for a fee of £71 million.

The initial fee for Havertz's transfer could potentially increase due to additional add-ons. Last season, Havertz netted nine goals for Chelsea, contributing to their success.

He has recorded a total of 19 goals in 91 Premier League appearances and notably scored the winning goal in the 2021 Champions League final against Manchester City.

Arsenal's acquisition of Havertz signifies their intent to strengthen their forward line and adds significant talent to their squad. The German international brings a wealth of experience and goal-scoring prowess, which Arsenal will hope will contribute to their ambitions in domestic and European competitions.
