PALLEKELE, Sri Lanka: New Zealand scored a competitive 250-6 against Sri Lanka after choosing to bat in the second one-day international in Pallekele on Sunday.
Skipper Ross Taylor (72), Bradley-John Watling (55), opener Rob Nicol (46) and James Franklin (35 not out) were the main scorers, while fast bowler Lasith Malinga bagged two wickets for Sri Lanka.
The opening one-dayer of the five-match series was called off without a ball being bowled due to rain at the same venue on Thursday. (AFP)
