LAHORE: Dense fog that blanketed Lahore and its suburbs prompted the Motorway police to suspend traffic on (M2) Lahore-Islamabad section of the Motorway as visibility plunged to zero in large swathes of the region, Geo News reported Monday.
In a statement the police said that the motorway had been closed from Babu Sabu Interchange (Lahore) to Pindi Bhattian Interchange (Faisalabad) due to zero visibility.
The Motorway Police said that the highway would remain closed for the traffic until the visibility improved.
It also advised motorists to switch on fog-lights while driving and travel in convoys as part of safety measures.
