Without any doubt, the Met Gala is the center of attention because many celebrities appear in funky, bold, and awe-inspiring outfits. But, this year's event might get less attention because the crowd-pullers Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce reportedly passed on the invitation to the show.

An explosive claim published in TMZ states the power couple has received the invitation to The Metropolitan Museum of Art separately; however, both decided to skip the coveted fashion event.

In the absence of a clear explanation, observers point out the Grammy winner may opt to let go of the coveted invite on May 6 because it was clashing with her Eras Tour dates in Europe that are set to kick off on May 9. 

Likewise, they believe her NFL boyfriend followed her lead by skipping the Met Gala.

In the meantime, Taylor is scoring big as The Tortured Poets Department continued to dominate the music charts for the second week.

Data cited by Variety shows the Carolina hitmaker's latest album reached the top in the second-week category since Adele's hit 25 in 2015.
