Jennie, a Blackpink group member, considers herself a “difficult to work with” person.
The songstress recently had a detailed chat with Billboard for their January issue.
During this chat, she got candid about the difficulties she faced while making her place in the industry.
Speaking of her early career struggles, she began, “I struggled a lot in the beginning.”
“A few months, I would say, was just me throwing myself out there, walking into rooms filled with new people,” she added.
The K-pop singing sensation continued, “I just had to keep knocking on the door, like, ‘Is this it?’ ‘Is this it?’ and then eventually, we got to a point where I found a good group of people that I linked with, sonically and as friends.”
In addition to this, Jennie admitted that she wasn’t the best person to work with at the start and had many shortcomings until she found herself.
Conclusively, she remarked, “I didn’t know who I was. I didn’t know what I was living for. The time where I was feeling clueless,” adding, “The fact that I’ve moved on from that phase and being so committed to myself, I’m very proud.”
