KARACHI: Polling for the election of Deputy Speaker in Sindh Assembly was stopped after a gaffe was found on ballot paper.
According to reports, name of newly elected Speaker Agha Siraja Durrani was printed on the paper instead of Shehla Raza, a candidate for the slot of deputy speaker in the house.
Mr Durrani asked the members that the issue could be settled if they agreed.Nusrat Seher Abbasi of the Pakistan Muslim League-Functional was of the view that there was no provision in the law for re-polling.
However, the newly elected Speaker ordered re-polling for the election of deputy speaker.
