Jonathan Lipnicki, who kickstarted his acting career as a child star, anticipates success as his child stardom.
However, in a recent chat with People, the actor acknowledged that the shift from a child star to acting as an actor has come with its fair share of challenges.
“It’s totally fine to say I'm not where I want to be career-wise,” he told the outlet on May 7. “Everything we’re doing in this life is nearly impossible.”
Jonathan, who has worked with Renée Zellweger and Tom Cruise in the 1996 drama Jerry Maguire, revealed that he has been very careful while choosing any roles as he mentioned that he has “said no to about five movies in the last year.”
"I just really want to turn this ship around,” the 34-year-old actor continued. “I pray every night for clarity on where I need to go and I'm confident the best is yet to come for me. And I think you just have to believe that. If you're going to pursue this, you're doing yourself a disservice not to dream big.”
Citing his starring as a young actor in movies like Stuart Little and Like Mike, he noted, "I had some really good things that happened when I was younger.”
Moreover, Jonathan added that he chose to prioritize "normal" life in his teens, even though he never officially put his acting on halt.
