Prince Harry and Meghan Markle remain united and deeply in love despite years of public scrutiny and controversy, claimed a royal expert.

Royal expert Christopher Andersen described the Duke and Duchess of Sussex as a “stronger ‘us against the world’ team.”

To mark their seventh wedding anniversary, Meghan shared a heartwarming Instagram post featuring a mood board with personal photos, handwritten notes, and lyrics from their wedding song, Stand By Me.

“Let’s be fair, they have come under some pretty wilting criticism, much of it perfectly legitimate, some of it not,” Andersen told In Touch Weekly.

She noted how the couple has faced many challenges, including racist headlines, business failures, and accusations of bad behavior.

Harry and Meghan have also fallen out with their respective families and recently lost a court case, which might stop them from returning to England together.

Still, they seem to have grown “stronger as an ‘us against the world’ team,” added Andersen. “I think that despite everything that has happened and continues to happen, they remain in love.”

While the post garnered positive reviews and love, it also attracted backlash, mainly because Meghan did not name Harry in her post and due to her continued use of the HRH title.

Royal commentator Jennie Bond warned that Meghan is "walking a very thin line," questioning her attachment to royal symbols after turning her back on that life.

“I don’t want to be a part of the pile-on,” Bond told the publication. “But you really shouldn’t try to bake your cake and eat it.”

“She turned her back on royal life, so it really does beg the question: Why does she want to cling on to any vestige of a life she so clearly despised?

“I thought America was all about equality… So why try to be superior? She’s walking a very thin line here.”
