Prince William issues new orders after Windsor Castle security breach

Prince William has ordered a massive and urgent overhaul of security at Windsor Castle after an intruder was arrested on Wednesday.

Citing a palace insider a report said “This one was a serious wake-up call. William is determined to ensure nothing like this ever again and that stalkers are kept away from his kids for good.”

The Kensington Palace source said “This was not a harmless stunt – it was a very real threat. The Proximity to the children’s areas triggered alarm bells. William has been briefed on how easily things could have escalated.”

An intruder was arrested for breaking into the grounds of Windsor Castle, where senior members of the Royal Family reside.

The man was spotted shortly before 1pm on Sunday and was “quickly challenged” by Met Police officers.

The Met Police said a man in his 30s was arrested on suspicion of trespass on a protected site and possession of Class A drugs.

A spokesperson for Thames Valley Police, said: “At just after 1pm on Sunday (1/6) a man has entered restricted grounds at Windsor castle. He was quickly challenged by Met police officers and arrested.

In November last year, two masked men broke into Britain's royal Windsor Castle estate and stole two vehicles from a barn.

King Charles and his wife Camilla were not in the estate at the time of the incident but Prince William and his family were believed to be at Adelaide Cottage, part of the Windsor Castle estate.

Windsor Castle previously faced a security scare in 2021 when authorities arrested a man with a crossbow in the grounds of the castle who said he had wanted to kill Queen Elizabeth.
