Renee Rapp just released her latest single, Mad off her upcoming album, Bite Me.

Mad is the second single she has released from the album, following the lead single, Leave Me Alone.

The latest song is accompanied by a music video which features Rapp and Barbie actress Alexandra Shipp.

Its lyrics reflect on emotional unravelling, as the chorus of the song goes: “All of the time, you wasted in your head / We could’ve been having sex / You could’ve been getting all of my time / But you were being mad.”

In a conversation with PAPER magazine, Rapp told the outlet that Bite Me would come after a time period where she felt “really burnt out.”

“I stopped loving what I was doing. I was like, ‘I need to shed everything that is hurting me off of my body immediately,’” the Snow Angel talent mentioned.

Rapp continued, “I was like, ‘This has to go away.’ I was like, ‘All right, I’m going off birth control. I’m gonna wean myself off medication because I don’t think I need that right now. I’m gonna do crazy kinds of therapy.’”

“I went through months of ketamine therapy. I basically did a purge of everything bad out of my body,” she revealed.

It is pertinent to mention that Renee Rapp seemingly teased an upcoming tour earlier this month with a series of pop culture-inspired social media posts and it might just be in support of her highly anticipated album, Bite Me.
