Former prime minister Gordon Brown and others joined Prince William as the royal marked two years of his initiative aimed at ending homelessness in the UK.

A statement issued by the royal said "Homewards UK, The Royal Foundation’s flagship programme, has set out to demonstrate that it is possible to end homelessness, making it rare, brief and unrepeated."

During a panel discussion, the future king joined "Coalition members from across the UK, with inspiring insight shared in sessions on employment, early intervention, homes and changing the narrative."

He said it was "Brilliant to sit alongside Steven Bartlett ( British entrepreneur) and Gordon Brown for a powerful discussion on cross-sector partnerships. Real momentum behind the belief that homelessness can be ended."

The Prince of Wales's social media team shared multiple pictures from the event showcasing William's interaction with experts and participants.

According to the project's website, Homewards is partnering with six locations to prevent homelessness within their local areas whilst sharing what works with the sector and beyond.
