King Charles to visit Walmer Castle

King Charles is set to visit Walmer Castle, the official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, on 10 July.

According to the Majesty Magazine, during the visit, the monarch will meet representatives from the 14 coastal towns that make up the Confederation of Cinque Ports.

It tweeted, “The King will visit Walmer Castle, official residence of the Lord Warden of the Cinque Ports, on 10 July to meet representatives from the 14 coastal towns that make up the Confederation of #CinquePorts.

“HM will also visit the Captain's Garden @ Deal Castle & Walmer @RNLI.”

The King is expected to visit Walmer Castle after President of France Emmanuel Macron’s visit to Britain.

Macron, accompanied by Brigitte Macron, has accepted an invitation from King Charles to pay a State visit to the United Kingdom from Tuesday 8th July to Thursday 10th July 2025.

The President and Mrs. Macron will stay at Windsor Castle.

The visit comes days after King Charles’ trip to Scotland with Queen Camilla.

The King, the Queen and members of the Royal Family visited Scotland for Royal Week.

Each year, the monarch spends a week visiting various regions in Scotland, meeting Scots from all walks of life and hosting thousands at the Palace of Holyroodhouse in recognition of their good work.
