Mobile phone service won’t be suspended during Eid prayers: Nisar

ISLAMABAD: Federal Interior Minister, Chaudhry Nisar Ali Khan said Monday that mobile phone services would not be suspended during Eid-ul-Fitr prayers.

Nisar while addressing a meeting of senior police officials directed Inspector General Police (IGP) Islamabad to improve the security situation in the federal capital. He said the Federal Police will be equipped with latest weapons.

The IGP Islamabad was also directed to reduce the duty hours of policemen and provide facilities to them.

The Interior Minister ordered to improve the monitoring of check posts in Islamabad and to close unnecessary check posts. A report from the IGP was also summoned over the rapid growth of slums in the federal capital.
