Prince Harry’s recent lip-sync of a classic Great British Bake Off moment had former contestant Mark Lutton doing a double take and he genuinely thought it was an AI clip.

The clip, aired on The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, saw Harry perfectly mimicking an exchange between Birmingham-born host Alison Hammond and Northern Irish baker Mark from the 2024 New Year’s Day Bake Off special.

Back then, Alison misheard Mark saying “bake for me” as “beg for me,” leading to a confused, giggling moment that fans still love.

Speaking on This Morning, the baking buddha admitted, “At first, I genuinely thought it was AI.

I couldn’t believe it was real! My phone blew up with messages from people sharing it.”

Alison chimed in, recalling the original moment, “I honestly couldn’t catch what he was saying.

I had to look at a producer to confirm it was ‘bake,’ his accent threw me completely!” The pair laughed over the clip and reminisced about the hilarity of that day.

When asked if Harry and Meghan might ever grace the Bake Off tent themselves, Mark was enthusiastic, “Wouldn’t that be incredible? I’d love to see them baking. Though I’m not totally convinced Harry could actually bake!”

The viral sketch has even caught the Duchess of Sussex’s attention, with Meghan resharing the clip on Instagram.
