Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor has continuously been a source of tension for King Charles and the senior members of the firm.
Since his shameful exit from royal life, the former Duke of York has been facing scrutiny from different official sources.
Most recently, there are talks in parliament to investigate his "peppercorn" rental deal for the massive mansion, Royal Lodge, from which he will be relocating to Sandringham in the coming days.
RadarOnline.com claimed that the royals are 'furious' as Andrew's negative image will also cast a shadow on them.
Britons will also raise questions about their lavish living arrangements and low rent.
An insider said, "Everyone is on edge. They've seen what's happening with Andrew, and nobody wants to be next under the microscope."
"There's real anger behind the palace walls – especially among those paying nominal rents on estates that could fetch millions on the open market," added the source.
The key allies of the monarch believe that Andrew "dropped" them in this mess.
"It is the money that is winding them up the most, not his links to Epstein. It's always about the money with the royals," the report stated.
