Pam Bondi breaks her silence after President Trump ousted her as attorney general.
Pam Bondi’s exit marks the second cabinet official ousted from the Trump administration 2.0 within weeks.
Shortly after dismissing Bondi, Trump took to his social media platform, Truth Social, on Thursday, April 2, and praised her while calling her a “Great American Patriot."
He wrote, “Bondi had “faithfully served” over the past year and would soon move into a new private-sector role to be announced later.”
Since her ouster, Bondi shared her first reaction in a post on X where she defended her record and pledged to ensure a ‘tireless’ transition to her successor, Todd Blanche.
In a farewell message on X, Bondi highlighted that she oversaw “easily the most consequential first year of the Department of Justice in American history” and added she is “eternally grateful for the trust that President Trump placed in me."
She said that Deputy Attorney General Todd Blanche will replace her as she moves to the private sector.
Bondi’s time at the DOJ remained in the spotlight due to controversy surrounding the management of investigations linked to Jeffrey Epstein.
Pam Bondi accompanied President Trump to the U.S. Supreme Court on April 1 for arguments in a critical birthright citizenship case.
