V, whose real name is Kim Tae-hyung, praised BTS ARMY for giving him and other members privacy during chance encounters.
During his latest livestream, the BTS star opened up about how he truly feels when fans pretend to ignore him in public.
Reflecting on the considerate gesture from the fans, the K-pop sensation explained that when he unexpectedly runs into fans while traveling, many of them intentionally pretend not to recognize him, giving him and the other BTS members the chance to enjoy their personal downtime.
"Out of 100 people, 90 of them, even if ARMYs see us on the street, they just pretend not to know us," he shared.
According to him, fans often avoid interrupting their private moments so they can create special memories while exploring different countries.
"They act like they don't know us when they see us in that country, so that we could make even more memories in that country," the South Korean singer explained.
"They'd just close their eyes, pretending not to see me when we make eye contact," he shared with a smile as some of his most meaningful fan interactions happen when fans choose not to approach him.
Rather than feeling ignored, V said those thoughtful gestures make him feel deeply appreciated. In fact, he often takes the first step to acknowledge fans himself.
"You know, it really warms your heart. That makes us feel even more grateful,” he stated.
The 30-year-old confession served as a reminder that sometimes the greatest show of support is simply giving an artist the space to enjoy everyday moments while letting them know they're appreciated.
