MQM stages protest demonstration against SLGA today

KARACHI: The Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) would hold protest demonstrations against passage of Sindh Local Government amendment bill on Sunday.

The MQM has also invited other opposition parties to join its protest against what its senior leader Faisal Sabzwari said was an obsolete law.

The Sindh Assembly on Friday adopted the bill setting aside opposition’s objections. The MQM lawmakers and other opposition members from the PML-N and the PML-F staged a walkout and held a parallel session of the assembly outside the assembly building.
