Vanessa Trump is proving that motherhood comes first amid her breast cancer fight.
The 48-year-old former model recently helped her eldest daughter, Kai Trump, move into her first college apartment at the University of Miami, where the young golfer is starting her freshman year.
The 19-year-old shared an Instagram video in which the mother-daughter duo is seen shopping at Target for apartment essentials. A visibly tired Vanessa joked about the exhausting process.
Vanessa said: “I am totally exhausted from going to her apartment and coming back and forth and moving everything.”
Everything from household chemicals to kitchenware was included in the shopping trip. When Kai teased that she would call her mom whenever her bathroom is messy, Vanessa retorted, “Either she will learn how to do that, or it will always be like that.”
Kai wrote the caption: “Back-to-school shopping with Mom! We spent hours shopping for everything I could possibly need for my apartment. So thankful my mom was there to do it all with me. She truly is the best mom.”
Kai, who has pledged to play golf at the University of Miami in August 2024, is the oldest out of the five kids belonging to Vanessa and Donald Trump Jr.'s family. They parted ways in 2018.
This event is taking place while Vanessa remains ill due to her cancer. She revealed that she had been diagnosed with breast cancer back in May. Then, in June, she informed everyone about her recovery after undergoing surgery. Vanessa has been helped by her boyfriend, Tiger Woods, who had been trying to help her in "whatever way he could."
In spite of her illness, Vanessa makes sure that her kids remain a priority for her.
