Russell Howard announces Comedy Gala to honour baby son Felix
The Felix Foundation will support families affected by miscarriage, premature birth, stillbirth, neonatal death and related bereavement

Comedian Russell Howard has revealed that his baby son Felix died earlier this year, saying he and his wife Cerys have been through “the most devastating time of our lives”.
The 46-year-old comedian shared the news on Friday, saying the couple had faced “unimaginable heartache” following the death of their son.
Howard and Cerys, an NHS doctor, had not publicly announced that they were expecting their second child.
In his statement, Howard spoke about the time he and his wife spent with Felix in hospital after his death.
The baby was placed in a “cool cot”, allowing the couple to hold him, talk to him and say how much they loved him.
“Those hours are among the most precious memories we have of Felix,” Howard said.
They were also supported by a bereavement midwife named Lauren, who had experienced a similar loss herself before retraining to help other families.
Howard said her care had meant more to them “than we could ever put into words”.
The experience led the couple to make a promise to help other parents facing similar circumstances.
They have now launched The Felix Foundation, which will support families affected by miscarriage, premature birth, stillbirth, neonatal death and related bereavement.
A fundraising comedy show will also be held at London's O2 Arena in February, with Michael McIntyre, Jimmy Carr, Aisling Bea, John Bishop and Mo Gilligan among the comedians taking part.
Howard said his fellow comedians were giving their time to the event completely free of charge.
The comedian, best known for Mock The Week and Russell Howard's Good News, has another son with Cerys, who was born in August 2024.
