Why fans believe Taylor Swift, Matty Healy are leaving pointed signals?

Taylor Swift and Matty Healy are both incessantly hinting at new music and fans believe there are certain invisible strings leading their clues to each other.

The 36-year-old pop superstar recently appeared in the Law & Order SVU skit at the Emmy Awards in which she seemingly bombarded fans with a ton of Easter Eggs - including some unrelated phrases like "Saccharide. Aries. From the vineyard. North or south.”

Swifties believe that the unrelated phrases however, seem to be strung together in a web of clues for her new music, and one of them appears to be about her ex, Healy.

Whereas The 1975 front man also recently shared a demo to his upcoming release, featuring a typewriter in the video which fans believe was a direct reference to Swift's album The Tortured Poets Department title track.   

Following the clues from both the musicians, fans flooded social media with their theories, writing, "aries, 'hiding in plain sight,'" referring to her song, The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived, which is believed to be about Healy.

Another added, "Yes I agree with you. Did you see on the clipboard an article titled 'a simple birthday surprise becomes moment this family will never forget' - that must reference the April 8 2023 (Matty bday) Joe Alwyn breakup announcement… I’m new to this, is Taylor usually this obvious???"

A third chimed in, "there was also a note that said '50 years' just like she says in tsmwel 'in 50 years will all this be declassified?' - i think the direct references to songs about matty its what makes it seem like theyre easter eggs about him. however, her saying aries was weirdly specific!"

One noted, "these two are making this week so hard to get through: him with the typewriter, her mentioning aries… i’m tired," and "'a simple birthday SURPRISE becomes a moment THIS family will never forget' okay," pointed out another.

While Healy and Swift's relationship ended three years ago, their lyrical back-and-forth has fans convinced that they're still holding on to unreleased music about the short-lived romance.
