SHANGLA: At least six people including security personnel were killed in twin blasts near the convoy of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) leader and Advisor to Prime Minister, Amir Muqam in Shangla, Geo News reported.
Sources said, the first blast took place when Amir Muqam’s convoy was moving from Puran to Martung area. The second blast occurred within few moments after the first explosion.
At least six people including policemen, personal security guard and driver of the advisor were killed in the twin blasts.
The security van escorting the convoy was damaged in the attack.
AP adds:
Deputy Inspector General police Abdullah Khan says the bomb exploded Sunday in the Shangla area near the convoy of Amir Muqam, a cabinet aide and former parliamentarian.
Khan says Muqam escaped unhurt, but the blast killed two police and his three private guards.
