Contempt law invalid under Article 10-A: Aitzaz
ISLAMABAD: PM’s counsel Aitzaz Ahsan Wednesday continued his arguments relating to Article 10-A on the resumption of hearing in the contempt of court case by a seven-member bench headed by Jusice Nasir-ul-Mulk here.

Aitza Ahsan said that there was no misgiving about Article 10-A that it related to fair trial. He said that the contempt of court law could be defunct under Article 10-A.

Justice Asif on this occasion remarked that under Article 4 even those laws have to be conceded, which are inappropriate and added it has to be seen whether the court on this basis has the authority or not to abolish the law.

Justice Gulzar remarked that the record of the parliamentary committee could tell about what was the objective of Article 10-A.

Earlier the court had asked Aitzaz Ahsan to complete his arguments within two days.
