Probe into the causes of Bhoja plane crash
ISLAMABAD: The voice recorder of the plane has been retrieved that could possibly provide some crucial information about the tragic incident, Geo News reported.

A civil aviation team visiting the site of the incident combed the area in search of evidences and clues to the unfortunate crash.

A judicial commission has been set up for probe on the directive of the prime minister, while an FIR has been registered at Koral police station on the complaint of SHO Koral Mahboob Ahmad alleging murder, killing, unexpected accident or negligence.

Police said that if the negligence of the pilot or management of the airline was proved, then action would be taken against them.

FIA is also probing into the incident. Sindh FIA Director Muazzam Jah said that the owner of the airline Faruque Bhoja has been quizzed, but he has not been arrested. However, FIA also scrutinized the documents available in the airline’s office, which showed that the Civil Aviation Authority had checked the ill-fated crashed plane twice.

The first check up was done in South Africa and another one in Paksitan.

Muazzam Jah said that the crashed plane came to Pakistan in February 2012, following Bhoja Airline acquiring it on a lease for $20,000 per month from South Africa. Arshad Jalil and his family own 80 percent shares of Bhoja Airline, while Faruque Bhoja has only 5 percent shares and the remaining 15 percent shares are with two persons 7 percent each.

On the other hand, Civil Aviation team also visited the site of the incident and reviewed the evidences, while the CDA Rescue team has retrieved the voice recorder of crashed plane, which would be handed over to the investigating officials today.

CDA officials said that the voice recorder was retrieved with the help of the experts and sniffing dogs. CDA Chairman will hand over the voice recorder to the concerned officials.
