NLC Scam: Army issues details of investigation
RAWALPINDI: The army has released details of its investigation in the National Logistic Cell (NLC) scam. A press release issued by the ISPR states that three high ranking officials are being investigated under the Pakistan Army Act.

According to the press release, for the first time in the history of the Pakistan Army, retired senior offices have been recalled taken on strength and subjected to through process of investigation.

Major General Khalid Zaheer Akhtar, Lt. General Khalid Munir and Lt. General Afzal Muzzafar are being investigated under the army act for their involvement in the NLC scandal.

The GHQ is evaluating the evidence and experts are being consulted in the investigation of the record of the case.

The ISPR adds that National Logistics Board implemented important reforms after the case.

The press release further states that the NLC returned approximately Rs9.3 billion in loans last year and posted a net profit of Rs3 billion.
